Conversation on Law with Sahel Kaur, Attorney, US Court of Appeals and Sikh Coalition

Join us for a conversation on becoming a lawyer with Sahel Kaur, a current Senior Attorney at The Sikh Coalition. As a Civil Rights lawyer, Sahel provides legal assistance to Sikhs facing discrimination, including cases involving hate crimes, school bullying, profiling, and workplace discrimination.

Prior to her role at The Sikh Coalition, Sahel was a Staff Attorney at the U.S. Courts of Appeals in the District of Columbia from March 2022 to December 2023. Before that, she worked as an Associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington D.C. for over two years.

Sahel will discuss her journey to becoming a civil rights attorney, share what her day-to-day is like, and offer advice for students interested in becoming lawyers. She will also discuss the role of Sikhi and sangat in her life.
