Uplifting the Futures of Sikh Youth

ਉਡਾਰੀ works to broaden pathways for Sikh youth by helping them apply to college and providing them professional exposure.

As part of our ਉਡਾਰੀ To College program, we provide free 1-1 mentorship where we match Sikh high schoolers with Sikh college students. Our mentors help sophomores and juniors develop robust applicant profiles by advising on classes, extracurriculars, recommendations, and more. We work with seniors closely as they apply, helping them to craft their essays and activities and strategize about where to apply.

We also host a speaker series with Sikh professionals in a variety of disciplines—including CEOs, lawyers, doctors, journalists—to give our youth exposure to all that is possible. Youth need to see it to be it and by connecting them with Sikh role models, we hope they feel “if they can do it, so can I”
